INTINERARY
Day 1 — Arrival in Cuzco
Cusco, a city in the Peruvian Andes, was once capital of the Inca Empire, and is now known for its archaeological remains and Spanish colonial architecture. Plaza de Armas is the central square in the old city, with arcades, carved wooden balconies and Incan wall ruins.
Day 2 — Sacsayhuamán
Sacsayhuamán or Saksaywaman is a citadel on the northern outskirts of the city of Cusco, Peru, the historic capital of the Inca Empire. The site is an important example of Inca architecture and sits at an altitude of 3,701 metres. After visiting the site we head to the Sacred Valley.
Day 3 — Arbol de La Vida
Nestled amongst the majestic Apus (sacred mountain spirits) of Peru’s Sacred Valley, Árbol de la Vida is a beautiful integrative wellness centre and spa devoted to restoring harmony across the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of well-being. Surrounded by breathtaking mountain landscapes and the profound wisdom of the Andes, this sanctuary offers the perfect environment to slow down, reconnect, and nourish yourself on every level. Our home for the next 7 days.
Day 4 — Ollantaytambo
Ollantaytambo is globally celebrated as the "Last Living Inca Town" because its current residents still live in traditional stone houses built directly upon original Inca foundations. Here we experience a Pachamanca which is a traditional Peruvian dish that dates back to the Incan Empire. The word comes from the Quechua words pacha (earth) and manka (pot). It is a unique culinary ritual where ingredients are cooked underground using hot stones, creating a deep connection with the Pachamama (Mother Earth)
Day 5 — Hiking the Pisac Ruins & Town
The Pisac Archaeological Park (often called the Pisac ruins) is one of the most visually stunning and historically significant Inca citadels in Peru's Sacred Valley. This sprawling complex sits perched on a mountain ridge high above the modern colonial town of Pisac. It served as a multi-functional hub encompassing military strongholds, astronomical observatories, vast agricultural terracing, and imperial residences.
Day 6 — Andean Sound Healing & Cosmology
Andean cosmology (often called Cosmovisión Andina) is a holistic philosophy centered on universal harmony, sacred reciprocity, and the absolute interconnectivity of all living things. The indigenous peoples of the Andes see the cosmos as a living, conscious entity (Pacha) where humans, nature, stars, and animals exist as equals.
Day 7 — Huachuma Ceremony (optional)
A Huachuma (San Pedro) ceremony is an ancient, heart-centered Andean ritual that utilizes a psychoactive cactus containing mescaline to facilitate deep emotional healing, self-awareness, and a profound connection to nature.
Day 8 — Integration & Spa Day
An integration and spa day is the perfect way to ground your nervous system and process your Huachuma experience with expert guidance and support. Combining physical relaxation with structured processing helps integrate the insights from your ceremony into everyday life.
Day 9 — Ceremony & Close
Come together in a closing ceremony to honour the connections, insights, and transformations cultivated throughout the retreat. As we complete this sacred journey, you will leave feeling nourished, empowered, grounded, and inspired to embody all that you have remembered and reclaimed.

Meet YOUR HOST
I’m Bree Naomee, founder of Yoga Alma Retreats. For over 15 years I’ve devoted my life to guiding others into holistic health and embodied transformation. My work weaves together Yin, Qi Gong, the wisdom of the Five Elements, Gene Keys, and integrative healing practices, informed by Taoist, Andean and Amazonian philosophy and a deep respect for the natural rhythms of life.
Peru is personal for me. My father was born here, and my connection to this land runs deep. I now live in the Sacred Valley and feel genuinely called to bring small groups here to experience the depth, beauty and living wisdom of these mountains. For the past 12 years I have also worked with plant medicine, deepening my understanding of the heart, the spirit, and the body’s innate capacity to heal.
What truly lights me up is creating spaces where people feel safe enough to soften, honest enough to release, and supported enough to reconnect with their true nature. I’ve had the honour of guiding retreats, workshops and trainings across Australia, Peru, Bali, Costa Rica and Mexico, witnessing how ancient wisdom and slowing down can restore clarity, vitality and inner steadiness.
On this retreat, I’ll be walking beside you alongside my co-facilitator and trusted Andean guides. Together, we will move through ceremony, landscape and culture with intention and respect. My role is to hold a steady, grounded container so you can experience the Sacred Valley not as a visitor, but as someone in real relationship with the land, the traditions and yourself.
